Frequently Asked Questions
Sizing & Fit
How does VETA sizing compare to other brands?
It may run differently. Our measurements are built from real-body data, not category vanity sizing, so the same numerical size from another brand might not translate directly. Checking the actual measurements on our size guide is the best way to find your size with us. If you still have questions, reach out to our team at connect@withveta.com and we’ll help get you the right size. You can learn more about how we think about and sizing and fit in our Fit Philosophy.
What is VETA’s view on size inclusivity?
Our ultimate goal when it comes to size and fit is to serve as many bodies well as we possibly can. And we’re a self-funded small business that needs to start somewhere. For our initial collection, we surveyed our audience to determine the size range that we provide in the beginning, which is XS-2XL. Given our movement roots, we also intentionally chose a very accommodating material for our leggings, biker shorts, and bralette. If your size is missing, tell us at connect@withveta.com so we can continue to improve.
Our longer plan is a fit strategy that goes beyond size inclusivity to serve different body types, not just larger and smaller ones, but it’ll take time to build. Visit our Fit Philosophy page for more information.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 21 days of delivery. To initiate a return, visit our returns page, or email us at returns@withveta.com. To be eligible for a return, items must be unwashed, unworn, and have original tags attached.
For domestic returns, There is a $10 return fee if fit insurance is not purchased at checkout and for international returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping.
For more detailed information, visit our returns page. If you ever need to talk through a return question, please reach out to us at connect@withveta.com - our goal is to help you find something you love.
Materials & Care
What materials do you use?
We choose materials garment by garment, based on what each piece is meant to do. Some are 100% natural fibers (BCI cotton, wool blends with lyocell and modal); others use recycled nylon, polyester, or a small amount of spandex where the garment requires it. Each product page explains why we chose its specific material. Visit our Material Story to learn more about our approach.
Why do you use synthetic fibers like polyester and nylon?
Honestly, before we started VETA, we expected we’d use all natural fibers. What we learned was that every material choice involves tradeoffs. We chose materials garment by garment based on what the piece needs, and we explain the choice on each product page. Visit our Material Story to learn more about our perspective.
Are your materials sustainable?
We don’t use the term “sustainability” because we feel there are too many definitions for it to mean anything specific. We use “responsibility” instead, which feels clearer about what we believe we owe and to whom. We use both natural and synthetic materials in our garments, making specific choices based on the need of each garment, and then we try to be clear about the tradeoffs. Visit our Philosophy page to learn more about our perspective on materials and responsibility.
How should I care for my VETA pieces?
How you care for your pieces plays a significant role in how long they will last. We recommend washing in cold water with the garment turned inside out, and hanging to dry. This will help the pieces last longer in their original form.
Will my VETA garments shrink?
Garment shrinkage depends on how you care for and the material of the garment.
Garments that are hung to dry tend not to shrink while those that are tumble dried tend to shrink.
As a material, cotton tends to shrink quite a bit when tumble dried. We have pre-shrunk our cotton pieces during manufacturing but there will still be a bit of shrinkage if tumble dried. Our wool-blend fabric will also experience some shrinkage if tumble dried. For both materials, the specifics are noted on the product page. Garments with polyester tend to be shrink resistant, which we’ve also called out. For longevity purposes, we recommend not tumble drying our bodywear. You can find care instructions for all pieces on their respective product pages.
Brand & Pricing
How is VETA pronounced?
VETA rhymes with meta - pronounced VEH-tah, with a short 'e' (like in 'met'). It's a common question, and you're not alone if you've been saying it differently.
What makes VETA different?
We’re a small family business with the intention of making fewer, better pieces - a considered line of movement and style garments designed to be worn together. We’re obsessed with material quality and fit, because those are the things that matter to us. Our goal is to show up more like a human engaging with community than a faceless brand.
Is this Adriene Mishler’s brand?
VETA was founded by Adriene Mishler, who is deeply involved in every aspect of the company. Read Adriene's Founder's Letter for more information.
Is this affiliated with Yoga With Adriene or Find What Feels Good?
VETA is its own brand. Adriene is the founder, but VETA operates separately from her YouTube channel and the FWFG community.
How does VETA determine pricing for its products?
We believe fewer, better-made things can have greater long-term value than constant replacement and overproduction. That begins with the materials we choose, the way our garments are made, and our commitment to creating pieces designed to live with you over time.
Our pricing reflects the kind of business we hope to build - one that creates enough margin not only to sustain thoughtful production, but to support movement initiatives connected to mental health and community wellbeing.

Shipping & Manufacturing
Where do you ship?
We ship throughout the United States, and we offer international shipping with some limitations at launch (see below).
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, available from launch. The first version has limitations given that we are shipping from the United States - standard international shipping rates, longer transit times, and customs/duty fees. We are currently working on a more financially accessible model that will be in place in 2027. For shipping specifics to your country, please email connect@withveta.com and we’ll help you sort it out.
Where are your clothes made?
Our manufacturing partner for the launch collection is MAS, in Sri Lanka - a family founded, world class manufacturer we chose for their aligned view on quality and environmental responsibility, as well as how they treat the people and communities they work with. Visit our Responsibility section for more information.
Are your clothes ethically made?
Yes - and we can say that with confidence because we've been to the factory. Our manufacturing partner is MAS in Sri Lanka. We've walked the floor, seen the working conditions, and met the people doing the work. From free daily transportation and meals, and honorable good working conditions - to whole family education, access to free health care, fair wages, and a dedication to entrepreneurial growth for women - we chose MAS based on what we saw firsthand and the people we met. For more information, visit our Responsibility section.
Products & Use
Can I wear VETA for high-intensity workouts like CrossFit?
The movement wear in our first collection (leggings, biker shorts, bralettes) are built for low-to-moderate intensity - yoga, Pilates, walking, light strength training, daily wear, etc. They’re not specifically engineered for high-impact training like CrossFit, sprinting, or heavy lifting. Those activities tend to need different compression and support than what we’ve built here, and we’d rather be honest about that than oversell. That being said, what you wear for your movement practice is a personal preference and we are also actively working on more compressive and supportive options.
Are your pieces designed for both men and women?
We have designed pieces for all different body types. We encourage our community to mix and match styles based on personal preference, rather than category delineation.
Are your pieces vegan?
Some are and some are not. The cotton pieces, the recycled nylon/Lycra pieces, and the jersey pieces don’t contain animal fibers. The Tank Top, Long Sleeve Top, and Movement Tee include wool in the blend, so those aren’t vegan. Each product page lists the full fiber composition.
