01 Letter From the Founder

It was never my dream to start an apparel brand. Yet I find myself truly and deeply committed to the conscious creation of one.

My dreams formed early around the deeply personal development of individual practice, the life-altering power of belonging, and a reverent connection to something greater. This is what I have spent my life studying, and it’s been both my passion and life’s honor to show up for exploration - to get the body involved and to focus on ways to connect with the living, breathing energies of the earth in a way that feels generous, aware, conscious, and kind.

It has always been my goal to stay rooted in a life of community, creativity, and service. I have spent much of my life exploring what it means to be connected to the body -  not as a problem to be fixed, but as something to be in relationship with.

In a world where we do not need more things, I have decided to make something.

Something of quality. Something made with care. Something created with real people, real partners, and real human attention behind it.

Why?

Because whether I wanted to be selling clothes or not, I was already participating in that system. Just by wearing certain brands, I was helping drive sales of pieces I could never and would never be able to take full responsibility for.

At some point, I realized that if I was going to contribute to this industry, I wanted to do so consciously. I wanted to know who was making the garments. I wanted a say in the materials, the fit, the messaging, and the values behind the product itself. And I wanted such an endeavor to support and positively impact others in a myriad of meaningful ways.

So rather than continue pointing people toward something I had no hand in creating, I decided to make something of my own.

I’ve longed for a brand that interacts with me like a fellow human. That treats quality as a responsibility. That prioritizes creativity and authenticity, growing through connection rather than comparison.

I have had many opportunities to put my name on movement wear, but it’s only by creating my very own that I feel I can build the type of relationship I’ve always desired.

So here is the deal…

With VETA, we will never intentionally make you feel less than in order to convince you that buying our products will make you feel whole.

We are committed to sustained quality - premium materials, thoughtful construction, and an improved sizing experience. We will never compromise these in the name of greater margins.

We will not make claims we cannot stand behind. And when we talk about responsibility, we will be honest about the full system - not just the parts that are easiest to market. This is a big one. I have learned so much, and I want to share it with you.

We are committed to co-creating this brand, always carving out real space to listen to your experience, feedback, and needs. It is our mission to create a brand that makes more space for you to feel heard. We want to build VETA uniquely, and together.

VETA comes from long, interwoven lines of curiosity and a profound desire to live a caring and intentional life. It comes from the understanding that we are both unique individuals and inherently connected. Through VETA, we celebrate that at the intersection of movement and rest lies genuine connection and life-giving community.

VETA was created to open a door so that we may move in a more intentional direction, together.

I will make mistakes, and I will be learning as I go. That is a guarantee.

But what is also a guarantee is that this is more than an opportunity for me to bridge creativity, fashion, art, and wellness in a fulfilling way. It is an opportunity to make a change in the industry and in the way we, as consumers, place our worth.

If you do not see yourself or your size represented in the brand, please send me a note at connect@withveta.com. I will personally make sure you are heard and work to make you feel seen as we continue to develop the brand. There is only so much you can do to begin with - unless you take on a ton of outside capital to begin with, which I did not.

Thank you for being here.

Love,
Adriene
